About
the Book
The
Zionism of the book's title is Jewish nationalism, the creating
and sustaining force of modern Israel. And this Zionism, political
Zionism, is not to be confused with what could be called the
spiritual Zionism of Judaism. Awareness of the difference between
political Zionism and Judaism is the key to understanding why
it is perfectly possible to passionately anti-Zionist without
being in any way, shape or form anti-Semitic or anti-Israel
inside its pre-1967 borders.

a summary understanding of the difference click on THE
MONSTER OF ANTI-SEMITISM - HOW TO DESTROY IT.
ZIONISM:
THE REAL ENEMY OF THE JEWS was chosen by the author as the
title for the book because, in seven words, it reflects two
terrifying truths for our time.
The
first is that more than half a century on from the obscenity
of the Nazi holocaust, anti-Semitism is on the rise again in
the nations of the mainly Gentile world where most of the world's
Jews (diaspora Jews) live as assimilated citizens of those nations.
The
second, a great and tragic irony, is that the behaviour of Zionism's
child, Israel, where only a minority of the world's Jews live
giving substance to Jewish nationalism in action, is the prime
cause of the re-awakening of the sleeping giant of anti-Semitism.
As all the best Jewish minds of the pre-holocaust period feared
would be the case if Zionism was allowed to have its way.
The
book has two central and related themes.
One
is how Israel, a Zionist not a Jewish state, became its own
worst enemy and a threat not only to the peace of the region
and the world, but also to the best interests of Jews everywhere
and the moral integrity of Judaism itself.
The
other is why, really, the whole Arab and wider Moslem world
is an explosion of frustration and despair waiting for its time
to happen.
It
is the first ever book to empathise with both sides:
with the real fear of diaspora Jews - Holocaust II (shorthand
for another great turning against Jews) and thus the perceived
need, if only in the sub-consciousness, for Israel as an insurance
policy, a refuge of last resort; and with the anger and humiliation
of the Palestinian and other Arab masses - humiliation which
is the product of Israel's arrogance of power, American support
for Zionism right or wrong, and the impotence, corruption and
repression of the regimes of the existing Arab Order, regimes
which, generally speaking, are perceived by their masses to
be doing the bidding of America-and-Zionism.
The
book is epic in length (two volumes) as well as sweep and substance
for a good reason.
Since
Israel's unilateral declaration of independence in 1948 to the
present, informed and honest debate about who must do what and
why if there's to be a peaceful resolution of the Palestine
problem, the prerequisite for averting a Clash of Civilisations,
has not been possible throughout the Judeo-Christian world.
Why not? Because its first and still existing draft of history
- which to his shame today the author helped to write as an
ITN and BBC Panorama reporter - is constructed on
Zionist mythology. At the core of this is the assertion
that, from its birth, Israel has faced the danger of annihilation,
with its Jewish citizens being "driven into the sea".
In the real history of the conflict sparked by Zionism's determination
to create a state for Jews on Arab land, Israel's existence
has never, ever, been in danger. As the book reveals, the assertion
to the contrary was never more than propaganda to enable the
Zionist state to get away with having its aggression perceived
where it mattered most, in America and Europe, as self-defence.
To
make informed and honest debate possible for the first time
since the Nazi holocaust, the author has re-written the entire
history of the conflict, replacing Zionist mythology with real
history - events as they actually happened not as Zionism asserts
they happened. And he has given these events their necessary
global context, which is why what happened behind closed
doors in London, Paris, Washington and Moscow has its place
in the book as well as events in Palestine that became Israel
and Arab capitals.
In
short, ZIONISM: THE REAL ENEMY OF THE JEWS offers the
first ever second and more honest draft of history, comprehensive
and fully documented; and showing how all the pieces of a very
complicated jig-saw puzzle fit together. It is a must read for
all who want to understand why a political resolution of the
Palestine problem has remained beyond the reach of diplomacy,
why unending conflict in the Middle East is producing more and
more deadly global fallout - 9/11 in America, terrorist bombs
in Madrid and London and so on, and how the countdown to Armageddon
can be stopped.
To
make the book accessible to all, the so-called ordinary peoples
of nations especially, the author has written it in plain, everyday,
earthy language. He writes, for example, "In effect Ben-Gurion
was telling President Eisenhower to get stuffed."
